The Grinder
Every blend of coffee consists of different beans and roast processes. The Espresso Essential grinder adjustment sets both grind size and dosage between 6 and 11 grams to suit your individual palate requirements. For instance, if the coffee grounds are too coarse the water will run through them too quickly making the coffee thin and weak. Alternatively, if the coffee grounds are too fine the coffee pours slowly and may become bitter. Our beans are specifically selected to suit this process.

Next to the Espresso Essential coffee beans, water is the most important ingredient in a good cup of coffee. All Espresso Essential equipment comes fitted with a built in Omni Pure filter for taste and odour reduction with scale inhibitor.

Pre-Brewing for Perfect Espresso
The Espresso Essential pre-brewing system ensures all the aromas and flavours from the coffee bean will end up in your cup. Before the actual brewing process begins the ground coffee is moistened with hot water, which penetrates the coffee. The brewer then forces out all the flavours and aromas from the coffee.

Brewing Time and Temperature
Espresso Essential machines are designed to deliver the perfect espresso at 80 degrees celsius and in 15 to 25 seconds. Common brewing processes can overheat the coffee and extract the espresso over too long a period, which leaves a burnt and bitter aftertaste.
